GALA Musicians Surround Sound

Surround Sound is a women’s a cappella chorus that sings 4-part harmony in the barbershop and other styles. The group originated in 1973 as the Chair City Pipers but updated its name in 2013 to reflect its more modern approach while maintaining its historic connection to barbershop singing. We also celebrated our 40th anniversary as a chartered chorus with Harmony Incorporated.  Harmony Inc is an international organization of women barbershoppers.  In 2016, Surround Sound was awarded the Rising Star and the Singing With Heart trophies at convention.  We are a competing as well as performing chorus.  The 15 members of the chorus invite women of all ages to join them for fun, friendship and song any Thursday evening in the Wakefield Community Room on the corner of Cross and Pine Streets in Gardner, MA.  We rehearse at 6:30 P.M.

Information about the chorus and its activities can be seen on our facebook page, facebook.com/surroundsound, and on Meetup.com at Surround Sound.  You can also email our president, Jan LeClair at jmlsings@yahoo.com.
